“Iceberg” («Айсберг», Козлова Л.Н.)

Over dark of deepest ocean
Iceberg’s growing as a mountain
And the stream is grabbing iceberg
Here and there for further seas.
One is wise who knows the danger
Of enormous frozen mountain,
One is wise who knows the danger
Of the iceberg for the ships.

And when you were beside me,
All things had been forgotten.
And like the ship in tempest,
I’m drowning into you.
And you are so frozen,
As iceberg in the ocean,
And all your biggest sorrows
Are deeper under waves,
And all your biggest sorrows
Are deeper under waves…

Who are you: my luck or sorrow?
Once you’re frozen, once you’re melting,
Who are you: the gentle sunbeam
Or the soulless ancient snow?
All I try to understand you,
Who are you and what is real,
Who are you, and what’s your image:
Iceberg or a loving man?

And when you were beside me,
All things had been forgotten.
And like the ship in tempest,
I’m drowning into you.
And you are so frozen,
As iceberg in the ocean,
And all your biggest sorrows
Are deeper under waves,
And all your biggest sorrows
Are deeper under waves…

Go away from my own life path,
Or become my fate forever,
Give me hands and just support me,
When it’s hard and when it’s tough.
I desire to believe it,
That my love can reconcile us,
And the iceberg will melt down
From the power of my love.

And when you were beside me,
All things had been forgotten.
And like the ship in tempest,
I’m drowning into you.
And you are so frozen,
As iceberg in the ocean,
And all your biggest sorrows
Are deeper under waves,
And all your biggest sorrows
Are deeper under waves…
